It was at a regional coffee competition in Marcala, Honduras, last March, that we first discovered this lot. The competition wasn’t on our agenda, and we attended purely by chance. The quality of the coffees presented that day was impressive, and among them, Linda Carlota Pérez’s stood out right away.
Linda and her husband Eddy grow their coffee under the name Cosmic Dust Coffee at Finca La Galaxia, nestled in the mountains of Marcala, in the department of La Paz. The farm spans 12 hectares at an altitude of 1,740 meters, and its name reflects the deep philosophy that guides their work: to them, each coffee plant symbolizes a star, and each bean, a particle of cosmic dust—a reminder that all matter in the universe shares the same origin. Catuaí, Parainema, and Lempira varieties grow on the farm, cultivated with constant attention to soil health and sustainable land management.
This particular lot is made entirely of Catuaí, processed using the natural method. Our importing partner, Honduran Coffee Alliance, gave us access to this exceptional microlot.
